Introduction

Springtime is when the lawn care season begins and lawn maintenance should be considered as the temperatures warm up. Medeiros and Sons lawn care generally begins its lawn care season in the first week of May, after the grass has started growing and spring cleanups have been performed.

Mowing your Lawn

Medeiros and Sons typically mows lawns on a weekly basis on the same day each week. We mow lawns at height of 3 inches (typically) to ensure that it is not cut too short or left too long. Grass that is cut too short during drier and warmer months and not watered frequently is at a higher risk of drying out or burning. Subsequently, grass that is left for too long or overwatered is at risk of becoming thick and making it difficult to cut.

Medeiros and Sons uses a variety of equipment to cut grass. We operate several zero turns to cut larger areas, and we use smaller commercial push mowers for smaller areas.

The Process

When Medeiros and Sons lawn care arrives on your property we typically begin with grass cutting, followed by trimming. Before we leave, we use a leaf blower to clear debris and grass clippings off of your walkways and driveway.

Additional Services

Services such as weeding, plant trimming, property cleanups, etc. are not included as part of your regular lawn maintenance package with us. Our additional services include:

Is there anything I should do before Medeiros and Sons visits my property for lawn cutting?

You should clear any and all debris, including but not limited to:

• Garden Hoses

• Toys

• Dog Leashes

from your property before we arrive to avoid damage to our equipment.

What happens when it rains the day of my lawn cut?

On days that it rains, Medeiros and Sons will typically postpone your lawn cut to the next dry day that week, or another time during the same week but before your next lawn cut appointment. There is no need to call Medeiros and Sons to schedule this, we will visit your property when the weather forecast is clear.

When will my lawn be cut?

We will typically assign a day of the week where we will visit your property and cut your grass. We strive to make it the same day each week, but we may have to visit on a different day due to unforeseen circumstances.
